ABOUT AHNA
I grew up creating art on my kitchen table in Reading, PA, where design has been a part of my life just as long as my two younger siblings. I built popsicle stick houses, made puppets, and sewed clothing for my hand made dolls. I danced ballet at a pre-professional level for 14 years at Berks Ballet Theatre, participating in the annual show of The Nutcracker and many more. Graduating high school in 2020, I had my eyes set on the University of Pittsburgh to study Political Science. However, after my freshman year, I transferred to Drexel University to pursue a creative path in Fashion Design. While at Drexel I worked as hard as I could to find my personal style while absorbing all of the technical skills and taking every opportunity that came my way. In my first year at Drexel, I placed in the annual fashion design competition, The Garbage Gala. In my second year, I was invited to lead a multidisciplinary group of students to design a sculptural dress for Longwood Garden’s holiday display. I also showed my work at multiple student lead fashion shows working to network and find as much exposure as possible. I spent the summer of 2023 taking classes at the London College of Fashion where I broadened my horizons and organized an editorial photoshoot which was later published in the Moevir Paris magazine. I commuted from Philadelphia to my internship with Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC where I learned luxury stitching techniques. Finally, in my final year at Drexel had the opportunity to design and construct my own collection, The Art of Mourning.
